Windows Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Issues Caused by CrowdStrike Update
Uninstall CrowdStrike or Reinstall Igdkmd64.sys Intel GPU Drivers to Resolve
Affected Users Report Inaccessible Boot Device Error
Windows users have been experiencing Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors following a recent CrowdStrike update. The error message "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE" indicates that the boot loader cannot access the boot device, causing the computer to crash.
To resolve the issue, users can either uninstall CrowdStrike or uninstall and reinstall the igdkmd64.sys Intel GPU drivers. Uninstalling CrowdStrike requires removing the software and its configuration files. Reinstalling the Intel GPU drivers involves downloading the latest version from the Intel website and installing it over the existing drivers.
In some cases, patching old AMD systems has also been reported to cause BSOD errors. Microsoft has temporarily pulled the patch that caused these issues.
It is advisable for users experiencing BSOD errors to contact CrowdStrike support for assistance in troubleshooting and resolving the issue promptly.
